Mylan in Ireland has evolved into a diversified healthcare company supplying medicines that have been helping patients in Ireland and around the world for more than 35 years.
We are proud to be one of the largest pharmaceutical employers in Ireland, with a broad portfolio of branded, generic and over-the-counter medicines including antiretrovirals and biosimilars. We are leaders in the treatment of allergy, the menopause, pancreatic exocrine insufficiency HIV and anaphylaxis.

With facilities in Dublin and Galway, each of our five sites employ many passionate and unconventional leaders, in departments ranging from IT, Research and Development and Device Development to Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing. Our workforce of more than 1,500 employees uniquely represent a microcosm of the diverse global Mylan health care offering, all in one country.
Our Locations
Our corporate office in Dublin’s Northern Cross is also a global and regional hub for many business functions, some of which include Regulatory, Marketing, Sourcing, Global Device Development, Quality, IT and HR. This strategic centre plays some significant role optimising efficiencies to support Mylan’s continuing global growth and innovation. This modern, state-of-the-art office is close to Dublin Airport and home to qualified and committed pharmaceutical professionals from all over the world.
Three of our manufacturing facilities are also in Dublin where more than 1,200 people work to develop and produce medicines for the world’s 7 billion people. With two oral solid dosage sites in Baldoyle and Damastown and a combined workforce of nearly 700 dedicated people, between them they have a production capacity of more than 6 billion doses and more than 100 million packs.
Mylan’s first purpose-built dry-powder inhaler facility is also based in Baldoyle and where 300 talented individuals in our respiratory research and development plant develop, manufacture, assemble and package complex branded and generic inhaled products. This investment in our Irish operations and the growth of our capabilities in the country, demonstrate our confidence in our respiratory franchise and our commitment to improving patient’s global access to respiratory medicines.
Located on the Connemara coast, our Galway facility is the largest employer in the Galway Gaeltacht and employs more than 250 loyal and devoted people. Our manufacturing facility is in Inverin, half an hour’s drive from Galway city and our team’s focus is on composite and unique products for the international market. We develop and manufacture high quality, sterile injectable products suitable for a range of therapeutic categories including oncology, cardiovascular, anti-infectives and anaesthesia/pain management.
