Social Media alert

The Irish Association of Dermatologists has seen an increase in fake social media pages using our logo and our members' names and photos. The unacceptable use of the IAD logo and name in this way is clearly designed to deceive and mislead consumers. The Irish Association of Dermatologists never endorses individual brands nor do we allow our logo to be used in the promotion of health products. These fraudulent profiles may attempt to mislead or scam individuals by falsely claiming endorsements for skincare products or treatments.

We advise all our members and the public to be vigilant and cautious of these fake pages. Please report any suspicious posts or profiles to the support team of the respective social media platform. Additionally, refrain from engaging with or sharing content from these misleading sources.

The HPRA and the Irish Skin Foundation have been included in some of these posts, the HPRA have issued the following statement.
