Dr Gillian Gibson

Dr Gibson graduated in Medicine from University College Cork in 1987. She completed general medical training in Cork University Hospital and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 1990. She spent three years at the Dermatology departments of Beaumont and the Mater Hospitals, Dublin 1991-1994. During that time she completed research into the pathogenesis and prophylaxis of skin cancer in renal transplant recipients for her MD thesis, awarded by the National University of Ireland in 1996. She completed a Dermatology residency training program at the Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota 1994-1998 and was on staff as Consultant Dermatologist and Assistant Professor at Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota and Mayo Clinic Arizona until 2002 when she returned to Ireland.

Dr Gibson is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She treats all types of skin disease. She sees patients for dermatology consultation at the Lee Clinic and performs surgical procedures at the Bon Secours Hospital. She also cares for patients admitted as inpatients to the Bon Secours Hospital.
